Not long ago I was having one of those days. You know a day where at some point you think
maybe I should just go back to sleep and start all over. Instead of praying about it I decided to go “Thrifting!” I walked into a store and right in front of me was a huge needlepoint. The needlepoint said this:
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered; forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

At that point I thanked God. I decided at that moment there will be no more “bad day!” God’s Word supports, strengthens and directs me. I love those moments! I love that I’m able to recognize when the Lord has something to tell me. I’ve learned over the years to slow down, listen, learn and obey. What a great teacher our Father is! He has given us many tools but it is our choice whether we choose to use them. I pray that every one of us start our days with our Lord. Pray and listen to His direction and He will renew our strength and make our path clear during those daily hiccups.

Tres Dias Team Meeting
Please plan to attend the upcoming Team Meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 9am-12pm, at the Whitefish Community Church of God. This is the kick-off for the monthly team gatherings leading up to the 2009 Fall Weekend. It is an opportunity to meet fellow team members and begin building a strong bond for service during the Weekend. If you haven’t yet heard on which team you are assigned, or have yet to submit your application, then you will want to attend so that you can get involved. We will discuss team assignments and you will have the chance to meet and begin work with your group.Childcare will be provided.
