Tres Dias Weekend Cost Increasing...

Brothers & Sisters,

Our weekend individual costs for both attending team members and candidates will increase from $85 to $100. While we have attempted to keep this cost down during these tough economic times, it has come at a -$2500 operating deficit each of the past two Fall and Spring weekends. While the individual teams have all worked to stay within their planned budgets and the kitchen heads have done incredibly well in obtaining food donations – The ladies kitchen team even returned back around $700 this past Spring – We are still operating in the red. Camp costs for lodging have continued to increase and the amount of scholarships awarded has nearly doubled.

The members of our Tres Dias Secretariat, our Rectors and Rectoras, have all wanted to continue providing these weekends to all persons who had a desire to be a part of the weekends, regardless of their ability to pay. We still aim to do this for candidates and their sponsors who do not have the means to pay the weekend cost of $100. However, If you plan to sponsor someone in the Fall, please start thinking now how to cover that cost. We are willing to take four $25 installments paid at each of the four upcoming team meetings or provided at our monthly Secuela. If you were a team member and made the commitment to pay your dues, please honor that commitment.

Presently, we have enough funding to cover one more set of weekends at such a deficit and then it is gone. We plan to not allow that to happen. Our course of action is to raise now the individual cost from $85 to $100 for the upcoming Fall weekends. There may likely be no scholarships available for any team members. Our upcoming Rector and Rectora will be directed to watch closely their budgets and to collect monies or commitments from all team members planning to work.

My Brothers & Sisters, Tres Dias has changed my life. If you are taking the time now to read this letter, then I know it has changed yours. Please join me in praying for this ministry. Our Father has always provided. No one has ever been turned away because of money. Lord, show us how to be a blessing to our brothers and sisters.

IDAHO TRES DIAS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

It's five-o-clock in the morning in Payette and here I sit trying to put into words how the Montana Community has rallied around a rag-tag group of Pescadors' with little to no experience and a leader that struggles less than some but generally more than most. At our last Sequela the group disscussed the mystery of the "Glue" that holds us together. You might say that's easy, it's Christ, but not so fast, this glue only works if the situation is right and you're willing to "let it set long enough to form a bond". I guess that's it, we as a group through struggles and wounds caused years ago have come together as a group, filled with the Spirit of God, of which I Praise Him daily.

We have learned from our Brothers and Sisters in Montana and prompted by our Lord to release pre-concieved notions of our "weekends" and strive not to take ourselves so seriously. Comments from all of you have been invaluable in forming our commitment and desire first of all to bring"Him" Glory then to bring satisfacion of your love and caring to this sponsored Community.

As we go forward we Praise Him daily for this commission and the dedication of those so instrumental in this effort. Every trip to Montana over the years has brought joy to both myself and to Peggy and a constant refueling of what God's people can be. Bless you all in the upcoming year and in all your indeavours lifting up the One And True Living God.
